🎯 Warfare Weekend: Paintball — More Than a Game

At Iron Phoenix, we don’t just believe in spiritual warfare — we live it out. But last month we picked a weekend, we put down the sermons, picked up some paintball guns, and took the fight to a different kind of battlefield. 💥
Each month, we head out to The Paintball Park at Alpine — tucked away in the hills at 25 Browns Rd, Alpine, CA — not just to shoot paint, but to pull our brothers out of the barracks and into the light.
Because if you’ve been to Phoenix, you know:That place can get real dark, real fast.
Why Paintball?
Some people think it’s just about fun. And yeah, it is fun. But it's deeper than that.
We do this because these guys — these warriors — need more than just motivation. They need connection, movement, challenge, and brotherhood.
Paintball gives us a space to laugh, sweat, strategize, and most importantly… remind each other that we’re not alone.
Out here, guys aren’t thinking about failure. They’re not stuck in their heads or numbing out in their rooms. They’re fully alive — running, calling shots, covering their team, getting covered in paint — and purpose.
Real Warfare, Real Brotherhood
1 Peter 5:8 says:
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Sometimes the enemy prowls in plain sight — through isolation, anxiety, and shame.
Paintball might not look like ministry, but trust me — when a guy who hasn’t smiled in weeks is sprinting through the brush and laughing with his team — that’s freedom. That’s warfare. That’s light breaking through.

Whether you’re with us on the field or praying from a distance, thank you. Your support helps us create these moments — the kind that pull men out of the shadows and back into community.
And if you’re here at Phoenix, or you know someone who is:
Tell them to suit up. Next Warfare Weekend is coming.
Paint included. Breakthrough guaranteed.
See you on the battlefield, Duke
